Rationale
The Africa Internet Summit 2024 (AIS’24) brings the ICT business and technical community in Africa together under one roof thus providing a platform for all stakeholders to discuss and benchmark issues on Internet policy, Internet Governance, Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), Internet access, and more. AIS’24 is a platform for the Internet community to gather to discuss, collaborate, learn, and disseminate information about these key areas of Africa’s Internet development.
AIS’24 is a follow-up to the African Internet Summit 2024 (AIS'24) a hybrid format conference that consisted of technical presentations, plenary sessions, and in-depth panel discussions. AIS’24 will take the “Hybrid” format that combines the experience from physical and online conference formats.

Expected Outcomes
AIS’24 is expected to achieve the following results:
Have Improved multi-stakeholder dialogue between stakeholders
Enhance mutual support for strengthening Internet infrastructure throughout the region and the necessity for keeping Africa’s traffic local to drive down access costs.
Have a deeper awareness across the continent of the urgent need to deploy technologies such as IPv6, RPKI, Internet Routing Registries and more.
Structure and Sessions
AIS’25 will have numerous opportunities for knowledge, idea and skills sharing, discussions, debates, and networking. The theme of AIS’25 is ‘'Strengthening the Multistakeholder approach for Internet development in Africa'. AIS’25 will unite the African Internet community including Internet service providers, companies running networks and more to peer and discuss important Internet-related issues from technical, governance and policy perspectives.

Africa’s top leadership has been invited to grace and participate in the event.
